Latest Serum updates on January 17th

Project Serum is calling for community feedback on how to structure Openbook’s fees, tokens, and governance structure. The future of SRM token is uncertain, and with Openbook’s existence, Serum’s volume and liquidity has dropped significantly. However, there is hope, as a community-wide effort to fork Serum is going strong. The Serum program on mainnet has become defunct due to the collapse of Alameda and FTX. Openbook-dex Discord is now live for users to know what’s going on or contribute to OpenBook. Additionally, Mango’s Max is leading a community effort to fork Serum. Furthermore, the team is building a suite of xNFTs on xNFT_Backpack and the Sollet Bridge will be deprecated on October 31, 2022. Finally, the team has posted a discussion about a new Governance System proposal to the Community Forum.
